Where to Have a Good Meal in the Heart of Geneva

The chez Helene is at the top of the list when it comes to restaurants in the city. The executive chef comes from the French region of Provence and is passionate about everything she does. She makes everything with a deeply held passion for fine cuisine. Reservations are recommended, but go ahead and skip the queues. The pareds (appetizers) are worth the wait and the mouth-watering choices are divine.

The Hotel Plaza Athénée is in the middle of the Place Saint-Germain, and while it has changed owners in the past five years it is still the best overall hotel in the area. If you’re looking for the ultimate in luxury, the guests who stayed here in the first few years of operations were among the first to snap up rooms. The Pan-Asian theme is truly on trend and, as for the food, you can expect the rare toasted vanilla & chili flback, foie gras mousse and perhaps a seasonal favourite: crème brulee.
